the only sad sad thing abt this site is that i follow so many inactive accs and accs that post stuff i don’t really like anymore that it feels weird to scroll down my timeline idk
general guidance for my twitter friends migrating over from one hellsite to another:
- censoring isnât mandatory because the algorithm here isnât the same at all. if you want to because you like it, go ahead, but unless your posts are tagged (in the tags at the end of a post), theyâre not really going to get suggested.
- engagement is VITAL here. if you want your post (or your mutualâs post) to get boosted, reblogging is key, and be sure to add tags.
- as it stands, nsfw fics are fine but nsfw art usually is not. this still seems to be pretty unclear, but if you were here before the p_rn ban and havenât been back, itâs not as wild wild west as it used to be.
- on the subject of fics/long posts: please please PLEASE remember to add cuts to your posts. (for reference, this is the âkeep readingâ function) long posts on the tl are generally frowned upon. if itâs over 1000, leave a good snippet (like the summaries on ao3) and then cut it. iâm not sure how to do this on mobile, but on the desktop app, youâll see a bar with an ellipsis in it: you can click it to insert said cut, then drag it freely around your post.
- do you like html? great! you can highly customise your profile a lĂ myspace era if you so choose, otherwise, the default customisation is also very pretty. you can even add a bunch of photos in between texts on any post (mobile posts included) and itâs very aesthetically pleasing.
- TWs and CWs generally should be tagged at the top of your post AND ALSO IN THE TAGS. youâll generally see â#tw:____â in the tags of posts for common TWs. please be mindful.
- people here are really kind and generally nice. just donât be a dick.
- *eta: joining writer community blogs will also help get more eyes on your fics and engagement with your content, so keep that in mind.
and with that, thatâs all i really have to say. have fun! or donât! welcome back to hell!
uhm hi
Just passed a group of teenage girls walking downtown…. wearing cargo pants and platform crocs…. nature really is healing……
Cannot stress enough that this is NOT a condemnation, this is genuine delight that young girls in my town have stopped dressing up like Kardashians and are finally just goofing around on summer break in comfortable shoes and funky graphic shirts.
15 year olds should not be worries about having a thigh gap, they should be trying on SpongeBob bucket hats at the pier and drinking twice their weight in corn syrup like hummingbirds
